.: [091205] Minho filming Dream Team in Vancouver

For those who don't know, Dream Team is a Korean variety show where the celebrities on the show will compete in sporting events and games. In 2009, the members of Dream Team that came to Vancouver for the special Winter Olymipic recording was SHINee's MinHo, Song Joong Ki, Danny Ahn, RUN, Go Ju Won, Lee Sang In, Kim Sung Soo, and the MC was Lee Chang Myung. My fan account will be 99.9% on SHINee's Minho as he was the reason I went to go see the recording.

On Decemeber 5th, 2009, Dream Team came to Vancouver to record for the Special Winter Olympics. I believe that they stayed in Vancouver for a couple of days to record for the show but I could only attend the first recording at the UBC War Memorial Gymnasium. This again will be a short fan account as you can see most of what happens in the actual broadcast. I will only talk about my most memorial moments.

I think I went to the location at around seven or eight in the morning on an extremely cold and snowy day. Sadly, we weren't allowed in until the actual production team arrives so, about twenty of us just stayed outside in the freezing cold. About almost an hour later, they finally open the door and let us into the gym. We could either sit on the left side or the right side, I chose left as there weren't as many people there. The MC, Lee Chang Myung as seen in the picture on the right, was the first dream team member to greet the audience. After an hour of sitting, Minho finally showed up but we could never get a clear view of him as his manger was glued to him. The rest of the members came in and after another hour or so of preparing, they finally began recording.

When the MC was introducing the members, he accidently called Choi Minho, Lee Minho. That would have been forgivable as Lee Minho was a rapidly rising actor in 2009, but Choi Minho had already been in ten episodes with the MC. Another memorable moment actually doesn't have to do with Minho at all, it actually has to do with Song Joong Ki. The MC asked the audience if there was anyone there for any other cast member other than Minho and then, a Joong Ki fan stood up and expressed her love for him! It was so cute and if I could speak Korean I would have done the same.
I don't want to spoil anything but let's just say that Minho seemed really upset after something and all the fans just started chanting: "괜찮아 (gwenchana)" which means, it's alright/okay. I've always known Minho was competitive but to see it in person was a feeling I can't express. I just wanted to go up to him and hug him at that point.
