[120902] Minho on 10 Kpop Idols and their School Stereotypes

So if you threw all of your favorite idols into one BIG school, what stereotype would they fit? Here are a few that I could come up with.
Minho (SHINee) - The Jock

There are a lot of athletic idols out there, but the one that everyone strives to beat is SHINee’s Minho. This guy is so good at sports that he probably has a whole cabinet full of medals and trophies from all of the idol sports competitions he has medal-ed in. He also was the Ace member of Dream Team and is currently playing the gold medalist high jumper, ‘Kang Tae Joon’ in the upcoming SBS drama, “To the Beautiful You.” So, who better to be the jock in school than Choi Minho, right?
Check out a clip of Minho on “Let’s Go Dream Team“:
G.NA - The Cheerleader

In school, you just can’t forget the cheerleaders. I mean, who else can you count on to get the rest of the school energized for a game or get them excited about school? Or in guys’ case…it gives them something to drool over… Anyway, the first person to come to mind actually was a cheerleader in high school, and that person is G.NA! G.NA is an idol, who is sassy, sweet, cheerful, and can get a crowd going very easily. She is definitely going to be the head cheerleader of this make-believe school.
Kyuhyun (Super Junior) - The Video Game Nerd

When it comes to the person most likely to be glued to a video game…does it surprise you that Super Junior’s Kyuhyun is the first to come to mind? Kyuhyun is known to play quite a bit of Starcraft in his free time. Gaming is even in his twitter account, @Gaemkyu. I think it’s safe to say he fits this stereotype, don’t you think?

In this rather old clip, Kangin talks about Kyuhyun’s obsession with video games on the radio.

Sungyeol (INFINITE) - The Prankster

The class prankster would most certainly be INFINITE’s Sungyeol, who revealed that he is the best at pranks during INFINITE’s “Sesame Player” back in 2011. During the show, Sungyeol was the one running around and sneakily revealing everyone’s personal items as well as tricking them into eating a vinegar banana. I guess when you’re around Sungyeol, you just have to watch yourself otherwise he might fall victim to one of his pranks!

Check out the prank that Sungyeol brainstormed with Woohyun for Dongwoo’s birthday that brought the rapper to tears.
Shindong (Super Junior) - The Class Clown

When you need a good laugh, you need to turn to the class clown which would probably be Super Junior’s Shindong. Shindong is always making the people around him laugh whether it is by making a funny face, a funny comment, or he’s dressed like 4minute’s HyunA and dancing to “Bubble Pop“. He is one person you could probably count on to turn your frown upside down.
Woohyun (INFINITE) - Teacher’s Pet

In every school there is always a teacher’s pet…a class suckup, a brown noser…and that person is likely INFINITE’s Woohyun. Now I love this guy to death…in fact, he is my INFINITE bias…but after watching him on “INFINITE’s Ranking King“, I just had to select him for this stereotype. Whenever Woohyun was at a disadvantage, he would flash a smile and turn on his aegyo to convince whomever needed convincing to choose him. Sometimes his hearts worked…and sometimes…his efforts just failed. Either way…Woohyun would totally be the teacher’s pet at school!

You can check out Woohyun sucking up to the judges and using his aegyo, in the clip below…at about 12:40.
Yoochun (JYJ) - Thespian

As for the big time thespian of the school, there are quite a number of idols to choose from in that mix. However, I think the big one lately has been JYJ’s Yoochun! Yoochun has acted in quite a few dramas and earned awards for his roles in “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “Miss Ripley”. Most recently he played the lead role, ‘Lee Gak’ in “Rooftop Prince.” I wonder what role Yoochun will be playing next…
CL (2NE1) - Fashionista

Every school has someone that has an eye for fashion, and at this school it would be 2NE1’s CL. 2NE1’s CL is one of the most fashionable people in the industry. She is the one that is willing to try a number of different looks and really push the envelope (although she wasn’t willing to shave part of her head for their recent comeback). Either way if you need fashion tips, or just want to look at the latest fashions, CL would be the one to turn to.
Suzy (miss A) - Prom Queen

miss A’s Suzy would probably be voted Prom Queen if it was based on popularity. Suzy, who has become known as the ‘Nation’s first love’ after her movie “Architecture 101“, was voted as the most popular idol for the first half of 2012 by her peers. Since then Suzy has successfully completed her recent drama “Big” and her popularity has risen as a result of the drama. Suzy was even selected by the idols for MBC’s “Weekly Idol” as the ‘University Campus Queen’ so I’m sure she would be a shoo-in for Prom Queen, don’t you think?
Yonghwa (CNBLUE) - Prom King

As for the title of Prom King, I think Prom King could go to a number of male idols out there…but the one I’m gonna choose is CNBLUE’s leader, Yonghwa. Yonghwa is a well-rounded idol: he’s athletic, handsome, charismatic, has a great voice, can play an instrument, he can act…and the list will just go on and on. Additionally, he’s popular amongst his peers as we saw back in May when he was voted “University Campus King” for MBC’s “Weekly Idol” for being extremely polite and handsome. Considering how popular he is with his fans and his peers, I think Yonghwa definitely has a chance of being named Prom King, don’t you?
Well that’s a few school stereotypes…what are some other idols that would fit a school stereotype?
